Acceptance of Terms

By accessing webenc.org, participating in WEBE programs, or providing your contact information to The Women's Empowerment and Birth Equity Institute, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or participate in our programs.

Services Provided

WEBE provides the following services: (a) culturally rooted maternal health education through "Just Between Us" and "Building Boldness For Better Health" programs; (b) one-to-one pregnancy and preconception support; (c) community-based research participation opportunities; (d) health advocacy training and resources; (e) text message and email communications regarding program updates and health education; (f) partnership opportunities with aligned organizations; and (g) access to our WEBE News newsletter and community resources.

Text Messaging Terms

By providing your phone number, you agree to: (a) receive up to four text messages per month from WEBE; (b) standard message and data rates may apply; (c) you can opt out at any time by replying STOP; (d) reply HELP for assistance; (e) message frequency may vary based on program participation; and (f) carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Program Participation

Participation in WEBE programs requires: (a) residence in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina; (b) identification as a Black woman or birthing individual; (c) respectful engagement with staff and other participants; (d) understanding that programs are educational and not a substitute for professional medical care; (e) voluntary participation in research activities; and (f) compliance with program guidelines and community standards.

Limitation of Liability

WEBE's educational programs are designed to empower participants with knowledge and self-advocacy skills. However: (a) our services do not constitute medical advice or treatment; (b) participants should consult healthcare providers for medical decisions; (c) WEBE is not liable for health outcomes or decisions made based on program participation; (d) participation is voluntary and at your own discretion; and (e) WEBE's liability is limited to the extent permitted by law for nonprofit organizations.
